Desk signs in as you. Here is what that means.

This is the part that deserves a straight answer rather than a page of badges, because the accounts in question are how you make a living.

How your sign-ins are held.

Encrypted, and never in the clear: Sign-in details are encrypted before they are stored and decrypted only inside the process that is signing in. They are never written to a log, never shown in the app, and never visible to anyone here.
Nobody at Partara reads them: There is no screen anywhere in this company that displays your password. Support cannot see it, cannot recover it, and cannot sign in as you to have a look.
The platform's own method first: Where a platform offers a way to grant access without handing over a password, Desk uses that instead. Where it doesn't — and most of the long tail doesn't — a password is the only thing there is, and you should weigh that before adding one.
One business, one place: Your credentials are not pooled, shared between customers, or used to build anything across accounts.

Not settings you have to find and switch off. These are not things Partara does.

Move money anywhere except to the platforms, under your cap

Change the password: Any time, on any platform, without telling us. Desk will simply ask you for the new one the next time it needs it — the same as any other browser you use.
Read everything it did: Every action is written down in Activity with the reason attached. Not a summary — the actual list.
Cap what it can spend: A hard monthly ceiling, a daily one, and a figure above which it has to ask. Checked before every change it makes.
Delete the lot: Cancel and the credentials are destroyed along with everything Desk read. The accounts stay yours, including the ones it made for you.
